Vanille was designed for my dad. He used to have this heavy cream cotton sweater with little black flecks all over it. My mom and I wore it more than he did - it was a family favorite.
Now that sweater is long gone, and he was dying for another cotton classic. Would you believe he couldn't find anything like this basic raglan anywhere in cotton? So I picked up some Blue Sky Alpaca organic cotton and went to work. The design is based on the basic top-down raglan structure, with a lot of attention paid to arm and chest sizing, and decorative arm decreases.
