Instructor: Anne Emlein.
B. Eng, Mechanical Engineering.
McGill University, Montreal, QC, Canada, Class of 2003.
In Print:
Not Another Teen Knitting Book, Vickie Howell, 2006. Sterling.
Design: Dancer’s wrap with matching leg warmers
Concept: Faux wrap pullover to mimic the look of a dancer’s ensemble, while being more wearable for anyone who may or may not be graceful like a ballerina. Inspired by my teenage cousin, who is an avid and relatively graceful dancer herself.
Online:
The Anticraft, Lughnasadh 2007.
Design:
“Painted Lady”, a cropped knit pullover.
Concept: A very cropped raglan, knit in one piece from the top down with long sleeves and built-in fingerless gloves. Intended as a project for using up many different, complimentary colors of “stash yarn” in one garment. Fashioned after the gothic DIY styles.
Knitty, Summer 2005, The Man Issue.
Design:
“Blue Hills”, a knit ski hat.
Concept: A ski mask without the mask. Something a little unusual to keep the neck warm while on the ski lift.

Concept: The world is becoming a place where, at a moment’s notice, you may need to protect yourself. But no one wants to walk around in armor, living in fear. This outfit allows the wearer to feel like a normal, fashionable member of society, while concealing a particle mask, eye and ear protection, and heavy duty gloves that can be changed into should danger strike.
